St. Louis Rams receiver Torry Holt asks for his release

Realizing he no longer fits in the team’s plans, seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Torry Holt has asked for his release from the Rams, league sources told the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday.
The Rams have been shopping Holt, 32, on the trade market, but so far there have been no takers. Holt is due a $1.25 million roster bonus on March 17, so it’s unlikely he will be a Ram beyond then.
But with free-agent wide receivers being signed daily around the NFL, and hundreds of millions of dollars already spent six days into free agency, Holt is seeking some closure to his time in St. Louis.
Come to chicago, where you will compete with the like of earl bennett and rashied davis!!!!!!! We need you tori!

It’s a damn shame we can’t have at least one of the guys start and finish their career here. I know it’s not healthy to hold on to the past, but I will always be a Holt fan! Thank you Mr. Holt!

The other day some guy writes that the Rams should pick up Mike Vick. Now it’s TO?!?!? Who are these people??? Why are they allowed to roam the streets freely???
And to those on here who criticize Holt in any way… get a clue. Great player. Class act. An all-time Ram.

Now that T.O. is available, cut Torry and sign T.O. OK, maybe I just wrote this to stirr up conversation…lol…but a 1 year deal, with behavioral contract incentives…may be too much of a risk for a first year coach, but having T.O. and Stephen Jackson would drive Defenses Crazy…lol…
damn i wish he coulda played in our system just 1 more season and he will be missed whereever he goes but hopefully we get a good WR in the draft and release looker,and the rest or just pick up maclin to run back kicks
Holt is a first ballot Hall of Famer! But its time for the Rams to rebuild and they could use the * mill to do it
