Returning is no snap for Bulger

The earliest that St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger will line up under center and take a snap is Wednesday — just four days prior to the regular-season opener in Seattle. Bulger broke the pinky finger on his right hand three weeks ago on an ill-timed snap.

Bulger again took snaps in the shotgun formation at practice Monday. The players are off Tuesday.

“It’ll be another 48 hours before we practice again, and the hope is he’ll be able to do it on Wednesday. But we’ll wait and see how he feels Wednesday morning,” coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “At some point, we’ve got to test it and see how it feels to Marc, and then go from there.”

Notes & quotes:

*RB Samkon Gado (ribs), G Richie Incognito (knee), FB Mike Karney (knee) and DE Leonard Little (knee) returned to practice Monday.

*A pin was inserted into G John Greco’s wrist during surgery over the weekend. He’s expected to be out 2 to 3 weeks.

*LB Larry Grant (knee) sat out and won’t play Sunday, Spagnuolo said. S Craig Dahl (hamstring) was limited.

*Rookie T Jason Smith worked with the first team, but Spagnuolo insisted no decision has been made on who will line up where Sunday on the o-line.

*Newly acquired S Anthony Smith said he was surprised when the Packers released him Saturday. “I thought I performed really well. I had two interceptions, a couple of sacks,” he said. “I guess Ted (Thompson, the Packers GM) had a different opinion.”

All for now. . .

We need all of the help on the defensive side of the ball that we can get!
Now they need to go out and get some WR’s

granny bulger, just continuing to go in behind the weakest offensive lines in NFL history and knowing what was going to happen to him gives him more balls than a cross dressing grandma.

maybe he has balls, but being a crappy quaterback is what makes him a sissy.

Is Boller so bad, that we have to wait until a couple of days before the opener to see if a rusty and injured Bulger can return to the lineup?

Making anonymous internet comments that you would never say to someone’s face makes someone more of a sissy than having the stones to get your brains beat out in the NFL for years.

Howard Balzer says Bulger is the best Qb for the Rams… Then again, he’s defended his stats as well over the last two years…(OUCH) I’m sure he’ll use the pinky finger injury to justify Bulger’s picks this season and his inaccurate throwing down field ..

In Bulger’s favor, this watered down, sissified, version of a West Coast Offense assures that Bulger will have the vast majority of his pass plays be for 15 yards or less. A ’so-called” ball control offense…

My comment, “so we need a 15 million a year QB to run a “ball control” offensive”?

Thank goodness we’re only stuck with this loser for one more season before we can finally get rid of him and make him someone else’s problem. I knew once they gave him that big contract, that it would be downhill from there.

Re: Making anonymous comments you would never make to someone’s face

That’s a pretty poor argument. It’s a hypothetical, its no logical, and you there is no correlation between Bulger’s play and my willingness to say something to someones face. It’s a cop out argument because you can’t defend Bulger’s play the past two years….we can’t hold the management, the coach, the offensive line etc. accountable but not the guy who is touching the ball every single play. Bulger’s numbers have been worse than backups in the NFL who have taken a significant amount of snaps over the past two years. Stop the hypotheticals, that is unless you can bring Bulger to my house, and I would be more then willing to tell him how bad he’s been over the past two years. Now, Bulger won’t take snaps during practice. If you can’t practice, don’t play.
