Tyree among four WRs to visit Rams Park, Baskett could be in mix
As expected, wide receiver David Tyree, one of the New York Giants’ Super Bowl heroes of two years ago, paid a visit to Rams Park on Tuesday. But according to league sources, Tyree didn’t run very well. And if the Rams add another wideout to their roster, they may go in another direction.
Three other receivers worked out for the team Tuesday: former Green Bay Packer Ruvell Martin; former New Orleans Saint Skyler Green; and former Tennessee Titan Chris Davis.
The Rams also worked out running back Chauncey Washington, who was a seventh-round pick by Jacksonsville in 2008, and veteran linebacker Paris Lenon, a three-year starter for Detroit who was in New England’s camp this summer.
As of early Tuesday evening, the Rams still hadn’t decided who or even if they were going to sign any players in that group. And Tuesday’s release of wide receiver Hank Baskett by Philadelphia gave the organization even more to think about. Early indications were that the team has interest in Baskett, who had a 90-yard touchdown reception against St. Louis last season.
Has anyone signed Marvin harrison yet? These don’t look like good choices! And due to the fact that Tyree didn’t run well doesn’t look like a good option, Baskett might be the best one(since we do have Philly’s OC), to me it’s honestly the creativity and the play calling.
Marvin Harrison is done. But, I do agree that the creativity and the play calling needs work. That and the QB.
Its starting to look like a WR may be top priority come next April. Other than Crabtree, who are the top wideouts coming out next year?
