Al Sharpton writes NFL letter on a Limbaugh bid
The Rev. Al Sharpton sent NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a letter on Monday asking the league to block conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh from bidding on the Rams, the Associated Press reported.
Sharpton said Limbaugh has been divisive and “anti-NFL” in some of his comments.
Limbaugh did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
Limbaugh is part of a bid, led by Blues owner Dave Checketts, to buy the Rams. Limbaugh would be a limited partner in the Checkets group. At least six groups have placed bids but the Rams have no timetable for a potential sale.
A league source told the Post-Dispatch’s Jim Thomas that because Limbaugh would be a limited partner, the league likely wouldn’t object to his inclusion in the bid.

Hey Al, if the league blocked your bid to purchase a team they would be racist and you would protest along with your buddy Jessie. Hmmm…how does that work exactly?
Also, who really cares what you think? All you are is a media whore with a personal agenda who can’t even relate to those you proclaim to represent anymore.
My letter to you:
Dear Al,
Please go away.
What a joke Al is.
Hey Al! Attention starved much? Look at me! Another chance for the spotlight. The truth is, you’re the biggest racist around!
Hey, you three losers-
Aren’t you missing out on your Dittohead time? Time to turn your radio tuner to KMOX for your daily circle j**k.
I dont care for Rush and I dont really think I want him owning the team…
but does ANYONE out there like Al Sharpton?
He is the epitome of the slick talking self promoter.
Just go away Al, its not always about you.
I dont agree with Rush at all but this is America and he has every right to esarn a living and be an idiot just like Al Sharpton. When Al apoligises for the Twana Brawley fiasco then I will take him seriously. Nobody would stop thr reverend jessie Jackson if he wanted to buy the team and he said he spit in white peoples drinks and called jews hymies. This is America, home of the free (to be stupid). Three of my uncles served in the military during WWII and one stormed the beaches at Normandy on D Day. I served 4 years during modern times myself. Al Sharpton and anybody who threatens any American’s civil rights to work or buy something or to live where they want has no place in this country. Are we to the point where if somebody dont think like us or how we think they should that they are denied their personal freedoms? That is not Democratic or Republican folks, that is Nazisim!
Imagine that, racist Al Sharpton opposes a white man’s bid. HAHAHA. Nobody will take this seriously.
Again, just more garbage. Keep this up, and they’ll end up giving the team to Rush just for spite. This is all BS
Let me guess, markthephoneguy, you are a Republican. How would I know it? Because you throw out “Nazism” like the handy adjective it isn’t.
Do your homework before you use words you don’t understand. And why don’t you start apologizing to all the people you offend when you draw a commonality between someone whose opinion annoys you and the orchestraters of the Holocaust.
Just about cracked a rib laughing at this one. Al “Freakin’” Sharpton implying that someone else is a racist? That’s rich! What Al and many others who object to Limbaugh’s bid to purchase the Rams are really saying is simply this: Shut up and don’t criticize people like me who play the race card at the drop of a hat and who use race to move their own agenda along.
Limbaugh’s biting satire is just too much for thin-skinned public figures who feel they’re above reproach.
