Dropped passes short-circuiting Rams’ offense

After a three-play, 78-yard TD drive extended the Colts’ edge to 14-3, the St. Louis Rams’ defense stiffened. It forced a three-and-out with Indy at its 4-yard line. But the offense couldn’t take advantage, also going three-and-out despite good field position.

Dropped passes are plaguing the Rams. So far, WR Tim Carter, RB Kenneth Darby and FB Mike Karney have bungled passes.

It’s 14-3 with 12 1/2 minutes left in the first half.

I understand that all 11 players are keying on S Jackson. I know the Defenses the Rams face stack the box. I know the risk of running at the strength of the defense, but just once will the Rams stick with Jackson. Win or lose the Rams need to give Jackson 30 touches in the game. He can not break a long run, or turn a screen into a big gain with out touching the Ball.

Give Teams a steady dose of Steven Jackson and defenders don’t want to stand in front of him come the 2nd half. That is why it is just unfathomable that he only gets 5 touches in the 2nd half of the Jacksonville game!
jacksonville kept giving the ball to Jones-Drew and he wore our defense down in the 2nd half. Jackson must get 25-30 touches a game for this team to be competitive, we have no passing game, Jackson is the leading receiver and rusher on this team, give him the ball! Throw him short screens, get him into space and run him up the gut all day long!
