Hall of Famer Youngblood a featured guest for Colts game
As part of a new initiative to have Rams alumni involved with the team, former Rams great Jack Youngblood will make an appearance at Sunday’s home game against Indianapolis.
Youngblood will be introduced on the field during the first quarter and will sign autographs during halftime at the Bud Light Party Zone. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Youngblood played 14 seasons for the Rams (1971-84), appearing in a club-record 201 consecutive games. A defensive end, Youngblood played in one Super Bowl, five NFC title games, and made seven Pro Bowls.
* Although the Colts game has met NFL sellout requirements and will be televised locally, a limited number of tickets remain. In recognition of breast cancer awareness month, fans who purchase tickets for the game will receive a pink Rams’ cap.
In order to receive the cap, fans must call 314-RAMS-TIX to purchase tickets, with seats remaining in the $48 to $78 price range.

Greatest Ram ever!! Game changer!! The opposite of Chris Long!!
I agree!! Better yet. Can he still play? At least he’ll be in Payton’s face.
Too bad Blood has to stick around until halftime of this expected debacle. I’m sure the Colts will be up 28-0 or worse by then and Jack will be cringing and asking himself why did I put myself through this? Like Long, Youngblood got off to a slow start in his first two years with the Rams under Tommy Prothro but I don’t see a Chuck Knox team next year in St. Louis. Thanks for coming anyway Jack and again it’s too bad you have to watch your former team masquerade as an NFL franchise.
You guys are too hard on Chris Long, I think he plays just fine.
So fans will receive a pink Rams cap. Fitting, the way this team plays.
The only place Chris Long gets a sack is at the grocery store!
Jack Youngblood has always been my childhood hero. He always gave effort and he was a leader during a time when the Ram Defense was FILLED WITH STUDS. I hope some of our younger defensive players take this opportunity to realize that they are part of something that is much bigger than a home stadium filled with 1/3 Vikings fans.
RAMS 31 Colts 20 GO RAMS!
Believe it or not, there is more to being a good defensive end than sacks. Chris Long has been a steady performer in his young career with the Rams, without the selfish mistakes you see from some other young players who are hell bent on racking up headlines and sacks for their own self promotion….while being a sieve against the run game. Long stays at home and takes care of business and I believe he will have a successful and productive career with the Rams or wherever else he ends up playing.
Stop trying to compare Long to Youngblood. It would be an injustice to compare anyone to him.
