JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In the words of Jack Buck, “I can’t believe what I just saw!”

The Rams took the opening kickoff and marched 73 yards in nine plays, grabbing a 7-0 lead on a 17-yard pass from Marc Bulger to WR Donnie Avery. Bulger, starting for the first time in three weeks, was five for five on the drive.

The Jaguars came right, and ex-Rams WR Torry Holt quickly menaced his old squad. Holt caught passes for 10 and 41 yards on the 58-yard, five-play drive. The extra-point hold was botched, though, and the Rams lead 7-6 halfway through the first period.
