Back to work for Rams: Incognito looks like a no-go against Saints

The St. Louis Rams returned to the practice field Monday after a four-day break for their bye week. The only Ram not practicing Monday was right guard Richie Incognito, with a Lisfranc _ or mid-foot _ sprain of his left foot.

Incognito hasn’t played or practiced since suffering the injury Oct. 25 against Indianapolis. He had been wearing a protective boot, but the boot was removed Monday. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Incognito isn’t expected to practice this week, a strong sign that he won’t play this Sunday against New Orleans.

“He’s still getting treated,” Spagnuolo said, adding that whatever work Incognito gets this week “will be more in a controlled training room setting, and probably not out here” on the practice field.

* Defensive end C.J. Ah You, who hasn’t played since suffering a high ankle sprain against the Colts, did most of the work in practice Monday, and could be on course to play against the Saints. Prior to the injury, Ah You had been part of the Rams’ four-defensive end pass-rushing package.

 * Wide receiver/kick returner Danny Amendola has been cleared after suffering a concussion Nov. 1 against Detroit, and practiced Monday.

* To help knock the rust off from four days of inactivity, Spagnuolo had the first-team defense and first-team offense go against each other for about 12 plays Monday.

* The Rams did some work specific to the Saints, but after the normal day off Tuesday, won’t go in-depth on their game plan until Wednesday. “We sprinkled in a little bit of New Orleans today,” Spagnuolo said. “We got a little bit of a jump on that. But we didn’t give out scouting reports. You know, you worry that if you do it too early, it gets stale.”

Any update about Gibson ?
I really hope that he turns out as good as half of Witherspoon to Eagles.
