The St. Louis Rams made a couple of roster moves Tuesday, promoting linebacker Dominic Douglas from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, and signing cornerback Marcus Brown to the practice squad. Douglas fills the vacancy created last week when the team released safety Anthony Smith.

Douglas, a rookie from Mississippi State, had played in three games earlier this season for the Rams on special teams before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad. Brown, who spent part of 2008 on Cincinnati’s practice squad, was in training camp this summer with the Rams before being released Sept. 1.

Enough with these Jonathan Wades of the world, get rid of spags he is horrible. He came into a star studed rams team and turned them all into Jonathan Wade. We need Mangini, he knows how to really run a playoff team. The browns screwed him over and he needs a new place. I say its time for the Mangenius

OB … have you really evaluated these new players? Sounds like you’re just assuming things to support your opinion about spags.

And, unfortunately, your suggestion that spags came to a star-studded Rams team is laughable.

As part of this week’s promotion, they should sign one of the 35,000 paying fans to take the 53rd roster spot.

Rebuilding year. We are always rebuilding. How come the Patriots are never rebuilding?

The Patriots are always rebuilding. But, they are always rebuilding the second and third strings, and occasionally adding a star to tweak the first string. Nice position to be in.

Ob I hope you are kidding. Star studed rams team? Did I miss something? The rams team I saw won 5 games over the last two years while playing in the worst divison in football. So far the players that the new regime have brought in have played pretty well. I don’t see why everybody wants someone off the bellicheat tree. So far they’ve done nothing. Keep up the hard work spags and I cant wait till we start winning.

To say get rid of Spags is totally out of line in my opinion. No we are not winning games, but we have played fairly competitive. One thing I can about Spags team that I could never say about Linehan’s team, they come to play and they play hard for Spags. Spags is growing as the Team is growing as well. I know it’s frustrating and nobody hates to lose more than me, but give Spags a little time.

P.S. You see how the Giants defense is playing since Spags left!!!

I think we need this carousel at the waiver wire and bottom of the depth chart to continue until we have a good team again. It’s proof that the FO is actively trying to improve us. It may not be much but it’s about the best hope we have right now.

It’s not the practice squad that’s the problem! Altough that seems to be the point of emphasis durung this loosing season.

The commentas to the negative about the back end roster shuffling are just testements to lack of football knowledge by the poster. This is what every team does. Anybody that does not think the Pats are never rebuilding is just oblivious to any thing football related.

Just saying.
