Rams assure sellout, local TV for Sunday’s game

Local St. Louis Rams fans — and those St. Louisans who still embrace Kurt Warner and/or the former St. Louis Cardinals — will be able to watch Sunday’s game on television after all.

A TV blackout was averted when the Rams bought up the remaining tickets at today’s 3:05 p.m. extended deadline and donated them to local charities and youth groups, assuring that the NFL sellout requirements were satisfied. The number of remaining tickets was believed to be about 4,500.

Each of the Rams’ five games this year has met those requirements and has been aired here.

Thank you Rams! There are many unemployed/retired who cant afford to attend the games right now. This is a generous gesture on your part and much appreciated. Sincere thank you.

I love my RAMS!!! What a classy move by the organization. This is exactly why this team deserves the support of the city during a difficult season and financial times.

GO RAMS!!!!

Another reason to hate the Rams. Instead of watching a real NFL that matters at 3:00 p.m., we will have to watch this abortion. Thanks Rams! Please move away soon!!

philadams77, you’re an idiot. Fox wouldn’t air another game, it would just be paid programming. So in other words, Rams vs. Cards or no football. Idiot.

Wrong Philadam77 - if the game would’ve been blacked out you still wouldn’t gotten a different game. It would have been 3 hours of Cops or something like that. I am going to guess you’re an Eagles fan, how many Superbowls do they have in the last 20 years? How many does the St. Louis team have? Thought so. And they aren’t moving so why don’t you?

Nice gesture by the Rams, I will be there in person but I am glad that the rest of the city will be able to watch on TV. Go RAMS!

Hey Philadams…ever hear of Sunday Ticket? It’s at plenty of local bars and restaurants in the St. Louis area if you don’t have it. How bout you give whomever the poor sap is you live with a break on Sunday at three, leave your house, and go watch another game? I’m sure whomever you live with will be grateful you won’t be around to make them miserable.

Hey Philadams77…If the Rams were blacked out at 3:00 you would be watching informercials and NOT another NFL game, per league rules.
