After a Cardinals three-and-out, the St. Louis Rams marched to the Arizona 7-yard line. Twice, QB Marc Bulger threw into the end zone, first for Brandon Gibson, then for Donnie Avery. Both fell incomplete, and with 3:42 to go, the Big Red have the ball back, clinging to a 21-13 lead.

The defensive back clearly had a hand right on Gibson’s ball on one of the replays. Why go right back at the Cardinals best DB on Avery’s ball. The receiving is definitely getting better. Avery may not be strong enough on those jump balls in the endzone. And Laurent comes back next year, Burton, too.

Gibson made some tough catches today but he missed a couple of big ones too. The receivers dropped a few for Bulger but he still missed on some throws too. Goldberg in for Incognito the last couple of games and gets a dumb penalty…maybe Incongito has jinxed the position and anyone in his spot will make a “incognito penalty”. I saw a glimpse of Bulger looking ok today but man it just seems like if the guy was just a little sharper with his throws that some of these young receivers wouldn’t have to always make a “tough catch”.

I agree, I don’t know why you keep going at the toughest defender on those goaline plays unless Avery wasn’t able to shake his guy. It seems like the Rams have been bad for so long that they are really showing the inexperience when it comes down to crunch time in close games. I would hope your veteren QB would be the equalizer.

Should have taken the 3 points and kick off. If we hold them the last drive would have been for the win. You HAVR to get some points on that drive. The Rams were holding the Cards the entire 2nd half. As everyone saw we held them before our last pathetic drive. Good job by Gibson and GREAT going stripping the ball from Boldin!! Beat the Seagull next week!!
