Rams drive stalls, but FG cuts Saints edge to 21-17

An interception by S James Butler gave the St. Louis Rams possession at their 40-yard line, and they drove smartly into the red zone. But the advance was halted at the 14-yard line after a strange third-and-3 call, a difficult pass against the grain for TE Randy McMichael. It feel incomplete, but Josh Brown’s 32-yard field goal trimmed the Saints lead to 21-17 with 7:08 left in the third quarter.
