The St. Louis Rams’ captains for this week are:

*Donnie Avery, offense: Avery had two touchdown catches in Sunday’s 28-23 loss to the unbeaten Saints.

*Justin King, defense: Playing most at nickel back, King recorded three tackles.

*Chris Chamberlain, special teams: Chamberlain had four tackles — none of his teammates had more than two on special teams. Chamberlain has a team-high 15 special-teams tackles for the season.

All for now…

Does anyone know why the Rams captains don’t ever wear a C on their uniforms? Just curious. And with no C to let people know who the captains are, why bother naming any at all? Is it for the all important coin toss? Yippee

Justin King, defense: Playing most at nickel back, King recorded three tackles and missed dozens more.

Don’t know what God and Spags has to do with a column about this week’s captains, but I’m sure God had a hand in that miraculous catch that helped the Giants upset the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Too bad Martz wasn’t praying during his Super Bowl against the Devil.

Mike- FAITH refers to faith in the system. It is a belief that they are working towards a goal, and what they are doing is working.

It has nothing to do with religion.

Mike,

It’s alright to be angry. I love you and will never forsake you.

Love,
God

P.S. - The Rams will be just fine with Steve as head coach. He is a good man.

Mike,
Spags strong faith and belief in God has nothing to do with the Rams being 1-8. The Rams lack of talent is the reason they are 1-8. DUH!!! Spags will turn this team around. This team won 5 games the last 2 years and rebuilding takes time. Spags knows what he is doing. It’s his choice to believe strongly about God not yours. I have a question for you, Did Warners strong faith and belief in God prevent him from becoming a great QB and a Super Bowl champion?

I have seen some dumb reasons on this site for why the Rams stink but this one takes the cake. But I don’t think you are a tool you’re just clueless.

Joe:

I never said that Spagnuolo’s religious beliefs are the reason the Rams are 1-8. What I meant to say was that anyone who emphasizes faith over fact, religion over knowledge and reality, is unprofessional, unqualified, and, quite frankly, more than a little dangerous.

You may find me clueless, but I find you ignorant. By the way, you should look into this new grammatical invention called PUNCTUATION.
