Still no Jackson on practice field at Rams Park
For the second day in a row, running back Steven Jackson did not participate in practice Thursday at Rams Park as he continues to get treatment for back spasms.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo normally doesn’t use players on Sunday if they can’t practice during the week. With just one full-blown practice left this week, Jackson is running out of time. Then again, if there’s one player Spagnuolo might make an exception for, it’s Jackson.
Spagnuolo said Jackson was feeling better Thursday.
* Right tackle Jason Smith (concussion) also was held out of practice. He is still experiencing post-concussion symptoms and won’t be cleared to play until he has passed a neurological exam. If Smith can’t go on Sunday against Seattle, Adam Goldberg will start at right tackle and Mark Setterstrom at right guard.
* Richie Incognito (foot) is increasing his drill work, but has yet to practice and appears at least a week away from returning. He will miss his fourth straight game Sunday.
* Fullback Mike Karney (neck) has yet to practice this week and looks doubtful for Seattle. TE Eric Butler, promoted from the practice squad Wednesday, has been working strictly at fullback this week, although it’s uncertain that he will have the new position down in time to be active Sunday.
* Spagnuolo altered the team’s usual schedule Thursday. There were no post-practice meetings, allowing the players to get home a few hours earlier for Thanksgiving.

Did anyone else notice the slap in the face to our honored Vets at the veterans day game? The team gave away “dog tags” honoring our american war veterans that were MADE IN CHINA!!! Good job Rams!!!
So what if they were made in China? And how is it a slap in the face of the Vets?
Hey jacob, you ever been in the military ?????? obviously not !!!
As far as being made in china, you ever belong to a UNION ???????
You know what made in AMERICA means ?????? Again, obviously not!!!
Totally not the forum, guys.
okay well im going to talk about the topic at hand
i think steven Jackson’s back spasms wouldn’t be a serious if we had a legitimate backup rb. i mean we released pittman, who literally bailed out our running ame last season when jackson was hurt and was looking light a nice one two punch when both him and Jackson were healthy. sure he wasn’t the best rb in the league, but we have yet to adequately replace him and now we can see that it is coming around and biting us in the but. maybe they throw the texas kid in the mix push come to shove. he seems like a bigger version of kennth darby but without the fumbles

What the Rams really need is a change of venue! They are a true LA team. They have history here and retain a good following. They were taken from us by an overrated showgirl who had here husband killed to get the team. She knew nothing about the game, just as the two benificiaries do now. This team is not going anywhere without a change of venue. It’s not Bulger or the line, it’s not the coach or the attitude. It’s ownership and operations and the inability to draft appropriatley. It’s time to sell, as you know they will, and fire everyone in the front office. And ideally bring them back to where they belong. The money will be spent to make them competetive and the new stadium is waiting!
