Majerus: Not interested in Marquette

The thought probably crossed many people’s minds as soon as they saw the news that Tom Crean was leaving Marquette for Indiana: Would Rick Majerus go back to his alma mater (and the city where his mother lives) to coach Marquette?
“I’m happy at St. Louis,” Majerus told me on Tuesday. “That’s all I’m going to say. I’m not interested. I’m looking forward to moving forward at St. Louis. I’m excited. We’ll be good once we get going. We’ve got a lot of work to do right now.”
What do you think he is going to say? I am sure Tom Crean “wasn’t interested” in the IU job until the offer was on the table.
He already was head coach of Marquette before his Ball State Days. Never got to the NCAA. They wouldn’t want him back.
