SLU basketball tickets are selling faster

Crowds have been good for SLU’s conference home games and it looks like that will the trend for the rest of the season. SLU’s game with Dayton (which is also a doubleheader with the women’s team, which is playing league-leading Xavier that night) is running out of tickets. The game with St. Joe’s on Feb. 18 is also seeing an above-average demand for seats, though the fact that game starts at 9 p.m. will probably kill any chance of a sellout. Also the season finale against La Salle is seeing extra demand.

And since it’s not the norm, I’ll mention here that the Duquesne game on Wednesday starts at 6 p.m. While that’s great for me, it might be less of a good thing for fans getting off work and going to the game.

A 9 p.m. start against St. Joe’s and a 6 p.m. start tonight?

The 6 p.m. start is a bigger pain for me than the 9:00 game, but still, they’re both pretty ridiculous.
