No postseason basketball for SLU

You can call off your scrutinizing of conference tournaments. Majerus said after the game that SLU would accept a spot in the NIT, but not in the other tournaments, saying the team is too banged up and it would get in the way of classes. (He’s enough of a traditionalist that the NIT means something to him.) So the loss to Xavier is the end of the season. No CBI, no insider.com. Majerus is flying out of Philadelphia tonight to go recruiting.
There is no other tournament after the NIT, in my opinion. Why do we need to decide the best of the worst of the worst (of the worst, even)?
the other tournies are trying except the cbi invite 1 last year and 2 sub .500 teams which i don’t like.slu should have gone to a tourney.would they turn down a ncaa bid b/c it gets in the way of classes? please.i think they should expand the nit to 64 teams or maybe 65 and have a play in game there too.many teams still left out of tourney.
