Ellis scores 11 in 14 minutes in rout of Syria

SLU recruit Cody Ellis had 11 points, in just 14 minutes, as Australia routed Syria 96-54. That mans the Emus finished first in their opening round group and move on to the second round. Christian Salecich had no points, going 0 for 3 on 3-pointers. The game story and the box score are here. The Emus get a day off before starting the second round, which again consists of pool play.
