SLU sets basketball start times
SLU has set the start times for its basketball games, with the proviso that in the world of TV sports, everything is subject to change. (Actually, in this case, only a few things are subject to change.) Most home games will start at 7 p.m. The exceptions are:
Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 (Arkansas-Fort Smith) 8 p.m. (following SLU women’s volleyball)
Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 (St. Ambrose) 2 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 (Kennesaw State) 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 (Eastern Illinois) 8 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 (Richmond) 4 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 (Dayton) 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 (Rhode Island) 8 p.m.
As you can guess, the funky start times are for TV. The team’s local TV deal hasn’t been announced yet — it’s obviously coming soon — but when you see a nonstandard time, there’s a very good chance that that’s a TV game.
