Lineup 3.7: Dodgertown bound

DODGERTOWN, Fla. — Make it a hat trick for Skip Schumaker who got his chance to hit leadoff and hasn’t let it go for three consecutive days.
Manager Tony La Russa takes a lineup north this morning that features an outfield the Cardinals will probably see at some point during the 2008 season, barring any waiver risk of Skip “Mr. Spring” Schumaker. The pitching plan is more the story today as Joel Pineiro makes his spring debut, Cliff Politte is scheduled to throw in his first game and prospects Kyle McClellan and Chris Perez are likely to make appearances.

Derrick Goold said he was going to Mizzou for capital-J journalism, but after growing up in the Time Zone Baseball Forgot he was really drawn to MU sitting between two major-league cities. Derrick, you’re a machine. Is Duncan going to get some swings against the righty today, or did he stay in Jupiter?

Duncan is back here in Jupiter and not headed up for the game. Hoffpauir and Johnson will be driving north — as will I — once Clement is done throwing. He’s warming up now.
Nice to see the stars back in working order. Humbling. But nice.

Thanks for all of your posts, I can’t get enough! What’s going on with Duncan? Haven’t seen him in a lineup for a while with a log jam in Left. Is his hernia okay? When can we see him get some at bats?

Free Brendan Ryan! I don’t think Izturis should be a lock myself, I didn’t understand the signing and I don’t understand it now.
