Kurt and Brenda Warner will be in St. Louis July 6 to sign copies of their book, “First Things First.”

The book, which carries the same name as their nonprofit, Christian foundation, will be about their marriage, “the values they are working to instill in their seven kids, things they’ve done right, mistakes they’ve made along the way, the importance of giving back, and the lasting legacy they hope to leave behind,” according to the publisher, Tyndale House.

The football quarterback and his wife share writing credit for the book with Jennifer Schuchmann, who has co-written other books focused on Christian values. The book goes on sale June 30.

At the two book events, the Warners will only sign copies of the book - they will not sign memorabilia and they will not pose for photos.

Here is the Warners’ signing schedule:

3-5 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Books-A-Million, 5555 St. Louis Mills Boulevard, Hazelwood; 314-227-5263

6-8 p.m. July 6, Costco, 4200 Rusty Road; 314-894-7953

I just learned today that the Warners had written this book. I had seen on the internet that they were going to be at book signings in Arizona (obviously) and, surprisingly, New Jersey (!). I assumed that they would have a few in St. Louis.

Kurt needs to have more public memorabilia signings in the area. He had one last summer at Macy’s/West County Center for Iowa flood relief and, prior to that, his last one was in 2005 (!)

I have a few more things I’d like to get signed - and I’m willing to pay for a few more of his autographs (!)
