While you’ll find mostly best sellers and magazines at Sue’s News, a new store in Kirkwood, the shop also sells breast cancer awareness products.
Owner Rich Bannecker held the grand opening for the bookstore on Oct. 2, just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The store is named for Bannecker’s wife, Sue, who died of the disease last year. For the rest of this month, it is donating sales from their used books to Komen St. Louis.
Sue’s News is at 121 North Kirkwood Road, across from Dewey’s Pizza. For more information, call 314-965-7837 or click here.

ENUFF ALREADY WITH THE “THINK PINK”! It’s really getting sickening! Women die of lots of things. Knock it off with this scam already!
So Komen fights for a cure to save lives through breast cancer awareness, yet she’s been an ardent supporter, and a donator to, the cause of murdering children - abortion - so she or any cause bearing her name won’t ever see a penny of my money. Folks, if ANY of you are Christian and pro-life, please be fully aware of the following:
“For our fiscal year ’08, Komen Affiliates contributed nearly $805,000 to Planned Parenthood programs.” 10-09
“For the past five years, $3 million – went to Planned Parenthood programs from Komen Affiliates.” 10-09

Talking about awareness, this is a very nice thing to do.
Sam, Thanks for pointing all of that out. I didn’t realize that they donated all of that money to Planned Parenthood. Now, I will definitely be donating money to Komen. Thanks for the tip. Cheers.
