Rick Riordan, the popular author of books for middle readers, finished his Percy Jackson series with “The Last Olympian” earlier this year.

A movie for “The Lightning Thief,” the first book in his series featuring demigods from ancient Greece, comes out in February.

Today, his publisher, Disney, announced that Riordan will begin a new series next year. “The Kane Chronicles” pits ancient Egyptians, such as the evil god Set,  against contemporary siblings Carter and Sadie Kane, who happen to be descendants of  magicians.

Kids can look for the new series in May.

That is the dumbest headline I have ever seen. I was not aware that Egyptian and Roman were synonyms.

Well, I’ve seen dumber headlines. I’ve even written some.
But thanks for catch - I’ve fixed.
