“YA is where it’s at,” says Heather Brewer, author of “The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod.”
The 35-year-old resident of Maryland Heights just released the third book in the vampire series for young adults. She’ll be doing three events in the next week or so to sign the novel, “Tenth Grade Bleeds.” (See Sunday’s story in A&E for more information on Brewer and the events.)
Brewer’s books keep gaining in popularity, and she hopes that other writers find the same
success, enthusiastically recommending some of her other favorite YA books.
Here’s a list of 5:
1. Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan
2. “Busted: Confessions of an Accidental Player” by Antony John
3. “The Dust of 100 Dogs” by A.S. King
4. Blood Coven series by Mari Mancusi
5. “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins
