Just as a longtime book project was unveiled,  one of its three authors died.

Henry Herbst died Friday of cancer on the very day that co-authors Kevin Kious and Don Roussin were featured in Go!, talking with Evan Benn about  “St. Louis Brews: 200 Years of Brewing in St. Louis” (Reedy Press, $39.95).

The book signings tonight and on Thursday will go on as scheduled, said a spokeswoman for the Schlafly Bottleworks. Relatives of Mr. Herbst are expected to attend the event.

Mr. Herbst’s funeral is Wednesday. For more info: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/stltoday/obituary.aspx?n=henry-w-herbst&pid=134639139
