Bank of America is on the move with mobile, Nascar products

In the last two days, Bank of America has introduced two groups of products for those who can’t be bothered to sit still for banking: mobile banking and a group of NASCAR-branded products.

Mobile banking, which has been tested in limited markets for several months, is now available to 20 million online banking customers nationwide. It works on  cell phones with Internet access. Consumers can check account balances, pay bills and transfer money through the website: www.bofa.mobi.

“Mobile banking extends the convenience and control of online banking to anywhere our customers are,” Sanjay Gupta, e-commerce executive for the bank, said in a statement.

The NASCAR product, aimed at racing fans, includes check cards, checks, credit cards and other products in  an affinity banking platform that includes other causes, associations and college alumni programs. Information is available at any Bank of America branch. The bank also will promote the program at NASCAR events.
