Insituform files patent lawsuit

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Chesterfield-based Insituform Technologies Inc.  filed a lawsuit against a Marietta, Ga., company for infringement on patents for repairing pipes.

Insituform, which announced the lawsuit today, uses proprietary technology to repair water and sewer piping systems without digging into the ground. The company is suing AMerik Supplies Inc., which also works with piping systems.

“Insituform’s complaint seeks a judgment of patent infringement, preliminary and permanent injunctive relief, the impounding and destruction of infringing products and damages” from AMerik, Insituform said in a statement.

Calls to AMerik Supplies were not answered.
