Bank of America seeks community award applicants
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Bank of America’s charitable foundation is seeking nominations for its fifth group of Neighborhood Excellence awards.
Categories include:
- Neighborhood Builders: Nonprofit organizations working to improve and revitalize their communities. Two groups in each region will receive $200,000 in unrestricted funds.
- Local Heroes: Five inidviduals in each market who have shown strong dedication to improving their communities. Each will be able to direct $5,000 to a non-profit group.
- Student leaders: five high school students who are recognized for community service and leadership. Each gets a trip to Washington, D.C., for leadership training as part of an eight-week summer internship with a community group.
The deadline for students to apply is Feb. 29.
The dealine for nominating Neighborhood Builders and Local Heroes is June 27.
