Belden’s Europe head to retire
Belden announced Friday the head of its European segment will retire at the end of February.
The Clayton-based maker of cables for telecommunications networks said D. Larrie Rose will retire from his position of vice president of operations and president of Belden Europe.
Rose spent 35-years with Belden and has headed the Europe segment since 2002. In Rose’s absence, the company appointed Henk Derksen, vice president of finance for Belden Europe, as interim managing director of Belden Europe.
In 2006, Belden’s Europe segment accounted for about 24 percent of its roughly $1.5 billion in revenues, according to a filing with Securities and Exchange Commission.
