Chrysler to add features to base models
Chrysler will attempt to lure more customers by offering more options as standard features in its interiors, the Detroit Free Press reported today.One vehicle that would reportedly feature an upgrade is the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, according to the Free Press report from on a Wednesday speech by Deborah Meyer, Chrysler’s vice president and chief marketing officer. Meyer spoke at the Automotive News World Congress.
Specifically, the base model of the vehicle will come with the automaker’s Stow ’n’ Go seats in the entry level version of the van.
The Grand Caravan is one of several minivan models made at Chrysler’s South Assembly plant in Fenton.
The base version of the Grand Caravan is priced at $22,470.
The report said Chrysler will begin offering new packages on 12 of its vehicles next month in a promotion called “New Day Celebration.”
