LaBarge earnings up 6% in Q2
Clayton-based electronics manufacturer LaBarge Inc., reported a 6 percent jump in second quarter earnings this morning, largely on increased sales to customers in the defense and natural resources sectors.
The company reported $67.1 million in sales in the three months ending Dec. 30, up from $60.8 million in the same period last year. Earnings climbed to $3.4 million from $3.2 million, and earnings per share rose a cent, to $0.21 from $0.20.
LaBarge beat analysts expectations, and its share price was up $0.25 to $13.97 in early trading Thursday.
