Esco Technologies posts first-quarter jump in sales, profits
Esco Technologies Inc., the Ladue-based supplier of hardware and software for electric, gas and water utilities, notched an increase in first-quarter sales and earnings.
First quarter 2008 sales were $135.0 million, or 67.5 percent higher than first quarter 2007 sales of $80.6 million. Earnings rose to $2.8 million or 11 cents per share, from a loss of $1.4 million or 5 cents per share a year ago. The first fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31.
The company said it expected full-year 2008 revenues to increase about 40 percent compared to 2007, to between $620 million and $625 million.
