National City hires two former A.G. Edwards bankers
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
National City, the Cleveland-based bank that has been expanding its retail presence here, is adding two investment bankers from A.G. Edwards & Sons, which was taken over last year by Wachovia Corp.
The two are Jack Gillis, who had been a senior investment banker at Edwards, and Brett Pantazi, who had been an associate in Edwards’ mergers and acquisitions business.
At National City, the two will work with middle-market companies, advising them on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. Gillis will be a managing director, and Pantazi will be an associate.
