St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Gregory H. Boyce, Peabody Energy Corp.’s chief executive, will join the board of Houston-based oil producer Marathon Oil Corp. on April 1.
With revenue of $65.2 billion in 2007, Marathon is the nation’s fourth-largest oil company and fifth-largest refiner. Peabody is the world’s largest private-sector coal company, supplying fuel for 10 percent of the nation’s electricity.
Boyce joined Peabody in 2003 and took over as CEO two years ago. He assumed responsibility as chairman in October.
