Anheuser-Busch boosts top executive’s pay
St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. doubled its chief executive’s compensation last year, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
August A. Busch IV made $1.23 million in salary and a bonus of $2.5 million, as well as about $1 million from a change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation. He also got $206,000 in other compensation. Those sums totaled $4.95 million, up from $2.47 million in 2006.
The Post-Dispatch’s calculation excludes items such as unvested stock awards and unexercised option awards in order to track actual — rather than potential — compensation. Busch did not exercise any options in 2007.

I can honestly say that raise was due to my beer consumption. Thanks August!. Enjoy yourself.
