St. Louis-based Bryan Cave LLP opened an office in San Francisco Monday to serve the Bay Area and Northern California.

This is the firm’s 16th law office location globally and its third in California. The other California offices are in Los Angeles and Irvine.

The San Francisco office currently has five lawyers and will represent clients on a wide range of issues, including business transactions, commercial and class action litigation and real estate matters. The office is being led by Lynn McCreary, previously a partner in the firm’s Kansas City office. McCreary practices in the areas of civil litigation, labor and employment and white-collar criminal defense.

Bryan Cave’s move into the San Francisco market is the latest in a series of expansions for the firm. In the past year, Bryan Cave has opened offices in Milan and Hamburg. It also expanded into the Chinese market by affiliating with Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing-based Alpha & Leader, supplementing the firm’s own offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Bryan Cave employs more than 1,000 lawyers and other consulting professionals across the United States, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
