CenturyTel, CWA locals reach contract deal
Tim Logan
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

CenturyTel has reached a tentative deal on a new three-year contract with five Missouri locals of the Communication Workers of America, the union said Thursday.

The deal, which covers about 350 workers will boost wages by 6.5 percent over three years and other bonus pay. It also strengthens provisions for job security and seniority, the union said. CenturyTel provides phone and Internet service in parts of St. Charles County and other areas across Missouri.
