Isle names new CEO, saw Q3 loss grow
Gaming industry veteran Jim Perry will take over as chief executive of Isle of Capri Casinos, the company said this morning.
A 30-year industry veteran, Perry has served as chief executive and as a board member at Trump Entertainment Resorts and Argosy Gaming Company. He’ll replace Bernard Goldstein, who will remain as Isle’s chairman.
The Creve Coeur-based company posted a wider-than-expected loss in the third quarter, losing $13.8 million, up from 9.3 million in the same period last year. Revenue jumped 16.8 percent, to $269.7 million, but competition and an increase in depreciation and amortization expenses led to the bigger loss. The loss in earnings per share grew to 45 cents from 31 cents in the same period last year.
