Monsanto loses bid to overturn French ban on genetically modified corn
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Bloomberg News this morning is reporting that Monsanto Co. and French farmers lost a bid to have France’s highest court overturn a ban on genetically modified corn.
The Conseil d’Etat in Paris today said that the Agriculture Ministry had the right to suspend cultivation of the altered corn seed in light of a report from the country’s High Authority on Genetically Modified Crops that said the corn may harm the environment and wildlife.

Another reason why the Tanker deal with French aerospace industry should be cancelled. The French government is not playing fair with America. The only reason they object to Monsanto’s proven technology is because it was not invented by a French company. The farmers in France will pay the price for their government’s protectionist policies.
