Obama may bring flow of cash to Insituform
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Could President-elect Barack Obama’s plan to stimulate the economy benefit Insituform Technologies?
An article on Seeking Alpha includes the Chesterfield-based company among those that could benefit from the plan to create millions of new jobs.
The article makes the argument that in addition to rebuilding the nation’s roads and highways, as Obama has promised, he should look at the water and sewage systems as well, which are in need of a major plumbing overhaul.

When does the socialism end. Be interesting to see how many private companies get a hefty bag of money from the Gov’t.
This isn’t socialism, this is government taking responsibility for public utilities. Insituform wouldn’t just be getting money from the government - i.e. bailout - they are in a position to receive legitimate contracts because of their company vision. Insituform mastered a technology that will be in demand. They don’t deserve to be lumped in with companies like GM that are behind the technology curve and are simply looking for handouts.
Which is better, putting people to work repairing and building our infrastructure OR having them in the military fighting and dying for things that in some case are unjustified? I’d much rather see our government putting people to work and boost the tax base than paying them so sit and do nothing. Certainly, I too am for cost containment, there’s plenty of waste in the U.S government however fixing infrastructure is not one of them. I’m more worried about $850.00 billion dollars going to a bunch of bankers that helped CAUSE the mess we are currently in rather than paying to fix years of neglect of our roads, bridges, waterways and rail system. We must remember, this work must be done by someone. As far as I’m concerned the Sea Bee’s can do it as long as it gets done and someone has a good paying job.
Guess infusion of cash equals the usual… Just Print More Money.
