ST. LOUIS AUTO SHOW: Ford simulator lets visitors test drive F-150 Raptor SVT

Getting to the St. Louis Auto Show requires driving in snow, but a simulator in Ford Motor Co.’s show area allows visitors to drive on another treacherous turf: off-road terrain.
The F-150 Raptor SVT pickup simulator lets riders steer a wheel while watching a screen that shows desert-like conditions. As a small crowd watched Wednesday afternoon, St. Louis resident Danique Dowell, 23, tested the gadget. The simulator shook as she navigated the rocky landscape.
“I was trying to get it to do that,” Dowell said after her ride, pointing to a man who simulated a spin-out.
The St. Louis Auto Show runs Wednesday through Sunday.
