Missouri Public Counsel takes aim at AmerenUE, fires
Pouring over utility dockets at the Missouri Public Service Commission makes for plenty of lawyerly, technical reading that frequently makes your eyes glaze over. But every once in a while, there’s more interesting, colorful reading available.
Take, for example, Missouri Public Counsel Lewis Mills Jr.’s characterization of AmerenUE‘s request to temporarily adjust the fuel surcharge that the utility fought for years to get (for background on the issue, see our story last week).
“AmerenUE is like a spoiled, greedy kid at a birthday party who not only gloats over his overly-generous presents, but also wants to take back all the party favors that were meant for his guests.”
The PSC hasn’t referred this dispute yet, but AmerenUE has asked the commission to make a decision by Feb. 19. Stay tuned.
