SEC: Thermadyne shareholder takes 6.9 percent stake
Thermadyne Holdings Corp. investor John P. Pecora has increased his stake in the Chesterfield-based company to 6.9 percent, according to a regulatory filing today.
Pecora, whose listed address is in Princeton, N.J., used personal funds to buy a total of 928,000 shares of Thermadyne, the Securities and Exchange Commission filing said. Pecora bought the shares for investment and has no plans to acquire control of the company, according to the filing.
This type of filing is not unusual; firms or individuals who own more than 5 percent of a public company’s stock must report their stake to the SEC.
Thermadyne makes cutting and welding products for use in manufacturing, construction and other operations.
