Tonight, O’Fallon will hold a public hearing to discuss a plan to redistrict the city into five wards.

The plan redivides the city into five wards from four wards and expands the City Council to 10 from eight seats, with two council members representing each ward. City officials have said O’Fallon’s population growth over the past decade has prompted the need for redistricting under the city’s home rule charter approved by voters in April.

Creating the fifth ward will open up two new seats on the council in next April’s election.

The meeting will be held during O’Fallon’s city council meeting, which starts at 7:30 p.m. at O’Fallon City Hall.

Public meeting by law but really the decision will fall to three people….Perkins and Debi Hennessey then approval by the Bill Hennessey. Look for Perkins to protect his turf. Oh yeah the overpaid lawyer will grovel some legal words and all the Council will back down because his degree is better than lessons learned from the school of hard knocks.

O’Fallon Rez — You’ve got your head so far up your back side. Give it a rest…
You’ve got to be kidding. Perkins and Debi H. running the Council? Not hardly. It’s Haney. He’s not only running the Council but the mayor as well.
This is more than the first time he’s taken over the Council and they follow like sheep. All of them.

Perkins got his way. He is guranteed a seat in the election. Funny how that works for Hennessey’s friends. What could be next, new old-hires?
