Wentzville school bus fight injures driver
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
A bus driver was injured and four juveniles were taken into police custody after a fight on a Wentzville school bus Friday.
Wentzville Police Chief Robert Noonan said two girls were verbally fighting and when the argument became physical, a bus driver tried to intervene. The driver was assaulted, but not seriously injured, he said.
Other details were hard to pin down when we heard about this on Friday evening, but we’ll update when we know more.

There was a fight on a Fort Zumwalt bus where a girl attacked a boy. She was suspended from the bus for a week and recieved some ISS (In School Suspension). For the past few years we have had to worry about our kids safety in the school buildings now we have to worry about them on the bus! Are we going to have to install metal detectors on the school bus doors or have police riding all the buses?
What a messed up world!
There is nothing new about fights on the bus. It happened when I was in school about a hundred years ago. Fortunately, when my own started school, I was working nights and drove him to school myself. It not only avoided the bus problem, it provided for some nice one to one conversations on the way. Do it if at all possible.
