The Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program, is a child identification program and free community service designed to help should a child go missing or be abducted.

On Saturday, a MoCHIP event is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Becky-David Elementary, 1155 Jungs Station Road.

MoCHIP consists of five major components - digital photographs, digital fingerprints, vital child information and emergency contacts, a dental bite impression and two laminated ID cards. The photographs, fingerprints and child data are burned onto a mini-CD that is compatible with the Amber Alert. All information is provided to parents on a computer disc.
