Food donations sought by religious group
The Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls of St. Charles County will hold a food drive Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mobil station at Jungermann and Mexico roads in St. Peters.
Non-perishable food items and personal care items will be accepted and donated to food pantries in the county. “Shelves are nearly empty!” says a news release from the group.
Any money donated will be used to purchase items for food pantries.
Free hot dogs, ice cream, soda and balloons will be available to donors at the event.

I’m sure Cynthia Davis is surprised that the pantry shelves are bare. Since (according to Davis)no one in her district is struggling to have enough food, maybe all of her constituents could take some food donations to the food drive for the districts that are in need.
Since good ole clueless Cynthia thinks that hunger is a motivator, maybe we should withhold pay from our state legislature until they actually accomplish something worthwhile.
Once again we have proof that the people, through their own efforts, can and will find solutions to the problems in their communities WITHOUT government intervention or interference.
It’s about time we ALL start to understand that Uncle Sam is not our own personal Daddy Warbucks and we can, and SHOULD, take care of ourselves BETTER THAN THE GOVERNMENT CAN OR WILL.
No better day than today to declare our independence from TYRANNICAL government! Happy Fourth of July and Long Live the Republic (NOT THE KING!)
Can Teaparty goers contribute? Or like the Circle of Concern in Valley Park who rejected donations from the July 4th TeaParty goers because they leaned conservative.
It’s a sad day in American when needy charities reject donations just because a group leans conservative.
wow
Give it a break people. I think this is a good cause and I will be donating both food and money. I don’t care who they are. I think this is a good thing that people are taking this on themselves.
