You know you’ve been dying to e-mail O’Fallon Police Chief Jerry Schulte to discuss the latest crime trends. Or to ask him why he believes O’Fallon is ranked the third-safest city in the nation by the CQ Press.

Well now you can, by clicking here.

The police department has just created a new website, an extension of the city’s main page.

Once there, you’ll find crime data, information about new programs and links to various divisions and other police departments in St. Charles County.

I especiallly dig the historical slideshow of vintage–and I do mean vintage–photos of O’Fallon police stuff. Check out the shot of one of the department’s first patrol cars from 1959, equipped with (whoa!) a radio transmitter, dome light and new tires! High tech stuff.

All the command staff, including the chief, list their contact information on the site as well. You can send Chief Schulte a note to his e-mail account at jschulte@ofallon.mo.us .

If you do, make sure to tell him Joel Currier from the Post-Dispatch says, “howdy.”

10-4.
