Police say Frank A. Herrera sold heroin to an undercover St. Charles County Drug Task Force detective several times during the last couple of months. Officers arrested him when he brought two children along with him for a sale on Tuesday.

Herrera, 30, of the 9700 block of Greenbush Place in the Breckenridge Hills area, was charged Wednesday in St. Charles County with five counts of distributing, delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

In a court document, police said he sold heroin to an undercover detective on Oct. 14, 15, 16 and 22 and on Dec. 2, all near the Bass Pro Shop in St. Charles. During the Dec. 2 sale, he brought along two children, ages 4 and 6, police said.

A judge set Herrera’s bail at $50,000.
