O’Fallon to hold ‘heroes day’ at city hall
Perhaps you’ve been nagging yourself that you should get trained in CPR, just in case something happens when you least expect it. Or maybe you’ve been meaning to donate blood, but you’ve just been too busy.
This weekend, O’Fallon is offering a chance to do both, plus an opportunity to get some safety tips that help you prevent or deal with emergencies.
It’s called “Community Heroes Day,” and it’s being held all day Saturday at O’Fallon City Hall, 100 North Main Street. Members of the O’Fallon Police Department and the Red Cross are providing training.
CPR training will be offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Training is $10 and registration is required by going to www.redcrossstl.org or by calling 314-516-2800.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Red Cross will be taking blood donations. You don’t have to sign up in advance.
Also from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., O’Fallon city staff will show people ways to safeguard their homes against emergencies.
For more information, call 636-240-2000.
